COME AND CHALLENGE YOUR TEAM IN THE UK'S BIGGEST, MOST ENJOYABLE AND FUN-PACKED ADVENTURE CHALLENGE SERIES......

What is it?

The Helly Hansen Adventure Challenge Series is a team-adventure journey that will involve off-road running, mountain biking and kayak canoeing. There will also be some special extra challenges thrown in for good measure!

All in all, it will be a unique adventure experience that will put smiles on your face if not a little sweat and mud on the your brow!

And later this year, the 2009 / 10 Series will offer FIVE stunning venues - FIVE inspirational adventure challenges.

So what is involved?

Firstly, it is a team event involving three people. You can enter as an all-male, all-female or mixed team, but all three of you must stay together at all times and all three of you will do all of the activities and challenges together.

How far... How long?

As a general guide expect to run or jog for about 10km. That's between 6 and 7 miles in old money.

You'll cover up to 25 km of mountain biking and possibly up to 1.5km of kayak canoeing but don’t think it is just as simple as this.

We like to add a few surprises and break up your journey so please don't assume that you will do each activity all in one go. And no, we won't be telling you in advance! That would spoil the fun! You'll only find out the exact sequence of activities on the morning of each Challenge Series event.

We expect the elite teams to take perhaps two and a half hours. Most teams take between 3 – 4 hours and many will be happy to get around the Challenge in their own time...

All fitness levels are welcome. There's no time limit and we promise there will be no limit on your enjoyment either!

By the way, our events always start at 10.00am with a pre-event registration open from 08.00am.

What equipment do we need?

Everything is included in your team entry fee APART from your mountain bike and helmet (helmets are obligatory). For this Series you'll be enjoying our brand new fleet of three-seater inflatable canoes. In fact, we're so nice we will even inflate them for you. Paddles and obligatory buoyancy aids are also included.

Don't have a mountain bike? Don't worry, we can help out here too and a special pre-bookable mountain bike hire service will allow you just to turn up at the event and 'collect and ride'.

Every course is extensively marked so you don't need to worry about getting lost, leaving you to concentrate on enjoying what's around the next corner without worrying where the next corner is!

Clic Sargent

CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity is the Official Charity for this event. We encourage all participants to get sponsored for their challenge. Every penny raised is vital in helping kids beat cancer, whatever it takes. You can request a free fundraising pack when completing your entry form or request one online direct from CLIC Sargent. Thank you!

Is it for me?

You bet! Just take a look at the Gallery above and you'll see what hundreds of ordinary, active people and weekend warriors get up to. We go to great lengths to give you a genuinely unique and inspiring adventure journey whilst ensuring its essential safety for those with limited levels of fitness, skill and experience. If you have ever fancied a filthy threesome then look no further!

This sounds like adventurous fun... How can I enter?

It could not be simpler. You have two options:

When entries open in May, either click on the Entry Form icon to be posted above and download / print the form, posting back your completed entry with a cheque.

OR, call the entry hotline on 01457 855425 and enter you team quickly and simply over the phone using a credit or debit card.

The entry fee is £135.00* per team, though we offer attractive discounts for group or Series entries. Every finisher will enjoy an excellent goody bag courtesy of our sponsors Helly Hansen, including a special souvenir tee shirt. There will also be some excellent prizes on offer for the top-performing teams.

* A surcharge of £2.50 per team will apply for entry payment using a credit card. NO surcharge will apply if paying with a debit card.

What happens once I enter?

We'll email confirmation of your entry immediately upon receipt and then, approximately, 4 – 6 weeks before each Challenge event we will email a comprehensive Information Pack that will provide you and your fellow team members with everything you need to know about the venue and what to expect.

At this time we will ask you to fill in and return (by email) your Team Registration Form so that we know the names and contact details for all three participating team members.

Get your friends, colleagues, club and company involved!

As well as attracting some of the UK's leading adventure athletes, The Helly Hansen Challenge Series is regarded as the ideal starting point for those interested in adventure racing and outdoor challenge events.

With increasing numbers of both first timers and returning teams it is no wonder why the Series has quickly grown into the UK's biggest and most enjoyable.

We welcome corporate entries as well as teams using the events for charitable fund-raising efforts.

As well as the considerable 'teambuilding' benefits involved, many enlightened businesses recognise the benefit of encouraging and inspiring their employees towards more active lifestyles.

Why not approach your employer to see if they want to support your participation or perhaps use a Challenge Series event as broader employee participation initiative. Call us now on 01457 855425 to find out how TrailPlus can really get your company going places!
