MOUNTAIN BIKE ASSISTANCE
CYCLEACTIVE COMES TO THE HELLY HANSEN ADVENTURE CHALLENGE SERIES
The UK’s number 1 mountain bike instructors from CycleActive will be at every Helly Hansen Adventure Challenge event in the 2008/9 series.
We’ve invited CycleActive along to give a professional boost to anyone who wants or needs it. From 8am on race day they’ll be running free, drop-in bike tune up sessions to any participants. Whether it’s a problem with gears or a wobbly headset, if they can fix you up quickly they’ll get it done.
At 9:15am on race day anyone who wants to ride faster, smoother and safer needs to get along to the pre-bike briefing by a top CycleActive instructor. This is especially useful for those who are new to mountain biking, focussing for just 15 minutes on some fundamental off-road riding skills. The basics of good body position, footwork, cornering and safe braking will be covered, as well as any special techniques relevant to that day’s course.
From 10:30am to 12:30pm the cycle skills course will be open. This is great for youngsters and adults who come to watch the event, or are waiting at the event HQ for someone to cross the line. Coaching is fun, informal but highly professional as the experts get youngsters and adults to improve skills and confidence. Just sign up on the day and enjoy these new, free skills sessions.
We’ve teamed up with the UK’s top mountain bike skills instructors at CycleActive to offer some unique one and two-day mtb courses. These are aimed at a wide range of biking abilities – from novices who want to get their core skills right to experienced riders who want to blast through singletrack at high speed.
