Trail Plus

Client Events

Be it a half-day fun-based activity event bolted on to a sales conference, or something more challenging, TrailPlus tailors every individual event to address the precise needs of your organisation and those of your employees.

And when it comes to the ‘something more challenging’, TrailPlus has delivered for the most discerning of clients. There are not many worldwide brands whose image is more synonymous with ‘adventure’ than Land Rover. So when they required assistance in reinvigorating a major employee initiative it was absolutely essential for TrailPlus to devise, manage and successfully deliver a world-class activity solution for such a world-class brand.

150 employees, from boardroom to shop floor and from the UK, Europe and the USA arrived in the Lake District for a memorable three-day event. Safe and accessible for all shapes and sizes, yet inspirational and challenging, the three-day event format witnessed a range of points scoring activities, including 4x4 driving skills.

Thirty teams of 5 had to undertake an extended journey….on foot, on bike, in kayak canoes and in their Land Rover vehicle. Along the way a series of stunning and memorable challenges: a zip wire across a huge disused quarry, and an abseil down a waterfall to name but two.

The event was a complex project to manage, requiring an extensive logistics support operation as well as sympathetic, yet creative, approach to the needs and expectations of a very diverse group of people. TrailPlus also managed the final night’s activities including a celebration meal for all the employees and, in Sir Ranulph Fiennes, a very distinguished guest speaker.

Many companies talk about living their ‘brand values’ but how many companies actually live their values? On this occasion Land Rover did just that….and it was TrailPlus who helped them and 150 very special employees meet their needs AND exceed their expectations.

Capita Adventure Challenge

Today's business needs are increasingly demanding of your staff: commitment, motivation, efficiency, creativity, innovation, competitiveness, a willingness and ability to change.

There’s also the need to think of others and, on occasions, take ownership and responsibility for your corporate and social responsibility.

Bring in a TrailPlus corporate challenge event!

Five years ago The Capita Group, the UK’s largest outsourcing business, tasked TrailPlus to come up with a new challenge event concept that would deliver two key objectives: involve and engage all levels of employees irrespective of their skill, fitness and experience and, importantly, to create a challenge content that would inspire and motivate fund-raising for Capita’s nominated charity.

Now, five years later, the annual Capita Adventure Challenge attracts over 100 teams from all across the UK and approaching £250,000 has been raised for charity in the process.

We could tell you lots more about the event….but it’s more fun to watch! Have a see for yourself and imagine your company employees taking up the challenge with TrailPlus!

Charity Case Study

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity, providing vital care, support and services to children and young people suffering from cancer, and their families.

In 2007 TrailPlus were invited to take part in a very competitive ‘pitch’ process. The task set by CLIC Sargent was to create an innovative, compelling and inspiring fund-raising event that would deliver increasing fund-raising income for the charity.

The result? The 24seven Challenge!

Simply, 24 hours within which teams and individual fund raisers were tasked with completing 7 different challenges, testing mental dexterity as well as physical fitness.

Key to TrailPlus’ winning presentation was the ability to deliver real creativity in the format and construction of 24seven as well as the simple, memorable and meaningful event title!

Of course, a proven track-record (dare we say, ‘trail record’) of first-class event management and delivery helped as did an attention to detail and service delivery without equal.

2008 witnessed the inaugural and highly successful 24seven Challenge event- a rewarding adventure challenge for all participants. More importantly, a rewarding experience for the charity and the vital work they undertake.
